15-Minute Holiday Recipes: Quick, Easy & Budget-Friendly from Aldi

The holidays are almost here, and if you're like me, you're scrambling to put together something that looks impressive but doesn’t take all day. I’ve got you covered with two simple, budget-friendly recipes that come together in 15 minutes or less. Perfect for last-minute gatherings or when you just need something quick and tasty.

1. Festive Cheese Ball

Cheese balls are classic, and they're super easy to customize! You can even swap out the regular cream cheese for veggie cream cheese for a fun twist and extra flavor. Here’s my go-to recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 16 oz Cream cheese (or vegetable cream cheese for extra flavor)

  • 1 packet Dry ranch seasoning

  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese (shredded)

  • 1/4 cup Green onion (diced) – optional

  • 1 cup Bacon (crumbled) – optional, but why not?

Instructions:

  1. Mix it Up: Combine softened cream cheese (or veggie cream cheese) with ranch seasoning.

  2. Add the Good Stuff: Stir in shredded cheddar, green onions (optional), and crumbled bacon (optional).

  3. Shape it: Form into a ball, refrigerate for 30 minutes if you have time, or serve right away!

  4. Serve: Pair with crackers, veggies, or anything else for dipping. Roll it in chopped nuts or parsley for a festive touch.

2. Quick Charcuterie Board

Charcuterie boards are basically just a fancy snack plate, and they’re super easy to put together. Aldi has everything you need to create a gorgeous spread on a budget.

Ingredients:

  • Assorted deli meats (salami, prosciutto, ham, etc.)

  • A few types of cheese (cheddar, brie, gouda)

  • Crackers or sliced baguette

  • Fresh fruit (grapes, apple slices, pears)

  • Olives, pickles, or whatever jarred goodies you love

  • Nuts (almonds, cashews, etc.)

Instructions:

  1. Meat & Cheese: Lay out deli meats and cheeses casually on a board.

  2. Fill In: Add crackers, fruit, olives, and nuts to fill the gaps.

  3. Serve: Done! It’ll look amazing, and no one has to know it took 10 minutes.
