What You’ll Need:
Seedling Carton (for the mushroom caps)
Paint (red, white, brown – go wild!)
Little Hooks (for hanging, if you’re fancy)
Sticks (nature’s perfect stems) and/or Cinnamon Sticks (for rustic charm)
Moss (because forest vibes)
Glue Gun (to hold it all together)
String (for hanging)
Step 1: Cut Out Mushroom Caps
They don’t have to be perfect – mushrooms are quirky, and so are you!
Step 2: Paint Your Mushrooms
Paint your mushroom caps any color you like (classic red and white, or go earthy with browns and greens).
Step 3: Attach a Hook or String
Grab a little hook and screw it into the top of the mushroom, add string for a simple hanging loop. Now your mushrooms are ready to float through your magical forest (aka, your living room).
Step 4: Make the Stems
Use sticks or cinnamon sticks to create the stems. Glue them right in the center of your mushroom caps.
Step 5: Add Moss
Glue a bit of moss around the base of your mushroom or on top for that enchanted woodland look. The more moss, the merrier!
Step 6: Hang & Display
Hang your mushrooms from branches, shelves, or windowsills. Create your own little mushroom forest at home!
